Established in 1972 for the first time in Korean Pharmaceutical Inducstry

Chong Kun Dang Central Research Institute, established in 1972 for the first time in Korean Pharmaceutical Industry, had been researching on fermentation, synthesis & biotechnology and was independently reorganized as CKD BiO Research Institute in November, 2001, as per the spin-off from “Chong Kun Dang Corp.”. We have been leading the localization of API production on a basis of advanced technologies, experiences & know-hows, accumulated over 40 years and every single day, we are putting our utmost passion & efforts to move towards healthier future. In the year of 1968, Chloramphenicol, developed via our own process & technology, was approved by US FDA for the first time in Korea and our activities have been recognized globally with numerous awards placed such as “Korean Good Technology Mark”, “Chang Eun Technology Award”, “Excellent Export Product”, “KOITA’s Advanced Technology Center” and etc. We are devoted to R&D using fermentation, biotechnology and organic synthesis technologies in order to secure a mass production system of APIs for improving quality of life and treating obstinate diseases, such as diabetes & hyperlipidemia. With our excellent specialists & technologies, we are committed to making every possible effort to develop APIs with outstanding efficacies and eco-friendly manufacturing process.
